DMI designed the organizational structure of “Knowledge and Life Holding, Lebanon” that is a Lebanese Holding that aims at improving the quality of Higher Education and Health Care in the MENA region.

DMI also prepared the institutional set up of HAYAT GROUP, a Kuwaiti - Lebanese joint venture that owns and runs the Knowledge and Life Holding, Lebanon. Knowledge City Management s.a.l. Lebanon and Life Health Management s.a.l. Lebanon. The job completed by DMI involved the following:

• Designing mandates, authorities and responsibilities of HAYAT Group entities
• Charting decision making within HAYAT Group
• Designing reporting requirements between HAYAT Group entities
• Design key performance indicators for HAYAT HOLDING, Knowledge Life Holding, Knowledge City Management, Life Health Management
• Producing vision, mission, organizational structure, job description, job specification, function statements, authority matrixes and salary scheme for Knowledge Life Holding Lebanon

As a result, a workshop took place on the 5th of September, 2009 in Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, Lebanon where DMI team presented the results of its efforts to HAYAT Executives.

During the workshop, Dr. Fares el Zein, DMI Executive Director discussed with the audience the strengthening of HAYAT Group institutional capacities and issues raised during the consulting mission.

It was agreed by the attendees that HAYAT Group should immediately move to implementation phase of recommendations provided by DMI.
